Electrophysiology

Dr. Allan J. Nichols is Board Certified in Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Disease and has specialized in Electrophysiology since 1988. Dr. Nichols received his degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. His residence and fellowships were completed at The Ohio State University and Riverside Methodist Hospital. Dr. Nichols founded the Electrophysiology Program at Riverside Methodist Hospital and is currently the Medical Director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit as well as an Investigator with the OhioHealth Research Institute. His special interests include all aspects of Electrophysiology including arrhythmia management as well as complex arrhythmia device implantation and management. Pacemaker/ICD Lead Extraction is also a special interest of Dr. Nichols. He is married to Kay, a Nurse Practitioner in Electrophysiology, and has two adult children.

Dr. Nichols sees patients at our Columbus office. He also has weekly office hours at Grady Memorial Hospital for the convenience of his patients in the Delaware area.
